It is designed to accept optional metal studs, which can provide additional grip and support in freezing rain and wet ice. It features wide Multi-Cross Main Grooves that provide biting edges for excellent handling on ice and snow surface. Saw-Tooth Block Edges provide additional biting edges for extra traction in snow, and Reinforced Tread Blocks add handling stability in ice/snow and on dry surfaces, plus help to reduce irregular wear. 3D Multiwave Sipes on Arctic Claw Winter WXI increase tread block rigidity and deliver excellent cornering performance in icy conditions, while single Circumferential Groove provides water and slush evacuation. This tire bears 3-peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) symbol and is approved for winter weather use.
