Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFT

The Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFT (Run-Flat Tire) is a Max Performance Summer self-supporting run-flat tire made as Original Equipment to come with BMW 3 series sedans beginning with year 2012 model with F30 chassis. This also features Bridgestone Side Support Run-Flat technology improved sidewalls that allows you to drive temporarily in 50 miles at 50 mph even after a puncture and complete air pressure loss. This also provides great performance in wet and dry driving conditions. Like all summer tires, the Potenza S001 RFT is not made to be driven in very low temperatures, like in icy or snowy roads. This has an asymmetric design with large outboard shoulder, central circumferential rib, and interlocking tread blocks to maximize dry road steering responsiveness, cornering accuracy, and stability when speeding. Its high-angle lateral grooves in the intermediate ribs push water into the circumferential grooves to resist hydroplaning. The notches in the shoulders also help by dissipating water to the sides. This has twin belts backed up by spirally wrapped aramid/nylon cord to strengthen the built that minimizes rolling resistance, gives durability in high speeds, and improves ride quality. Note: Install these tires in sets of 4 only. Bridgestone recommends this to provide best handling characteristics and performance of tires. These may not be mixed with other models of tires.
