The Firestone Firehawk GT tire provides excellent dry traction, wet grip, responsive handling and resistance to excessive heat due to high speed driving. The tire is best suited for full size rear wheel drive vehicles like the Chevy Camaro, Dodge Challenger and Ford Mustang. The tire works well on dry and wet roads, with impressively quick steering responsiveness which is so important during high speed maneuvers.

The tread design is asymmetric for improved performance on wet roads, and to generate less noise for a quieter ride on dry roads. Open grooves on the shoulders allow water to evacuate easily but are still massive enough for good grip at the limits of high speed cornering. The casing has a spiral wrap around the plies that helps reduce the effects of centrifugal force, so the tire maintains it shape and a sold footprint on the road at all speeds.
