Sumitomo ST778+ SE is a commercial truck and bus steer tire made for long haul applications. This tire features wide solid closed shoulder ribs that maintain even pressure distribution, provide low rolling resistance, and promote even wear. Its narrow shoulder grooves work together with a flat tread radius to control irregular wear. Four circumferential grooves help to disperse water out of the tire’s tread and reduce the aquaplaning risk. Stone ejectors embedded in the tread grooves protect the tire from external damage, cuts, chips, and punctures. The microsipes are designed to protect the interior ribs from punch wear and improve the tire’s gripping ability in all weather conditions. Internally, ST778+ SE features a Four Steel Belt Package construction designed to resist punctures and increase the vehicle’s stability and contribute to more retread cycles.
