The Continental TerrainContact A/T2 is a premium all-terrain tire for SUVs, pickups and heavy-duty trucks, introduced in 2026. Continental calls it the most off-road-capable tire it has offered under its flagship brand. It sits alongside the original TerrainContact A/T, which continues mainly in original-equipment sizes.
Continental's TractionPlus+ Technology combines high-density siping, a silane-enhanced tread compound and high-strength belt construction. Silane bonds silica into the rubber, which is what lets an all-terrain compound grip on wet pavement without wearing fast. The tread has larger blocks, a bolder shoulder, greater tread depth and zigzag grooves, with extra biting edges and traction teeth for loose surfaces. Continental reports 3% better wet braking and 10% better snow performance than the original A/T, with the same dry performance and interior noise level. It carries the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) symbol, a tested severe-snow standard, which the original A/T lacked. The limited mileage warranty rises to 65,000 miles, up from 60,000.
According to Continental, the more aggressive tread keeps the comfort: interior noise and dry performance match the original A/T. Most sizes are P-metric with T (118 mph) and S (112 mph) speed ratings, made for SUVs and half-ton trucks. The LT sizes in load range E (10-ply rating) are for towing and heavy loads. Some sizes have outlined white letters.
