The Rockblade Resilpeak R/T is a rugged-terrain light truck tire for pickups and SUVs that split time between highway and gravel, dirt and trail. It sits between an all-terrain and a mud-terrain. It is more aggressive and better protected than an all-terrain, and quieter and longer-lived on pavement than a full mud tire. It is built by Zodo Tire Co.
The casing is the selling point. Most sizes are load range E (10-ply rating), with some D and F. The multi-ply reinforced casing is designed for puncture resistance on rocky roads, and the tread compound is specified to resist chipping and cuts from rock. Alternating shoulder scoops add traction in mud. Interlocking center blocks brace each other under load, which keeps the tread stable when towing. Speed ratings are Q, R or S depending on size (99 to 112 mph).
For highway manners, the maker uses varied tread block shapes to break up the pattern harmonics behind highway drone, which keeps it calmer on pavement than a full mud-terrain.
Best-suited for: Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra, Ford F-250, Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Gladiator.
