Armstrong Tru-Trac AT II 255/55R18XL 109H BSW Tire

Armstrong Tru-Trac AT II Product Description

This listing is for new Armstrong Tru-Trac AT II 255/55R18XL 109H BSW Tires. Manufacturer part number: 1200068869.

The Armstrong Tru-Trac AT II is a second-generation all-terrain tire for light trucks and SUVs, positioned as a value alternative to premium all-terrains and backed by a 65,000-mile limited treadwear warranty, which is long for this category and is the main reason it sells.

The tread uses zigzag circumferential grooves, multi-directional blocks, and interlocking center blocks joined by connecting bridges. This geometry is what limits block squirm under load, provides grip on dirt and mud from multiple angles, and keeps wear even over a long service life. That same construction is why it rides and sounds calmer on the highway than the tread pattern suggests. Off pavement, it is highly capable on gravel, dirt, and forest roads, supported by reinforced sidewalls specifically designed to add protection against trail cuts and punctures.

The Armstrong name has been in the tire business since 1912, and the tires are DOT compliant and sold with a manufacturer warranty, which is worth saying plainly if the brand is new to you.

Be clear on one limitation before you buy. The Tru-Trac AT II is not 3PMSF certified, so it is not rated for severe snow service and should not be your only tire in a heavy winter climate. Its light snow traction is adequate but will not match a certified all-terrain. If you need year-round winter capability from a single tire, choose a 3PMSF-rated all-terrain instead. If your winters are mild and you want the longest warranty in the value segment, this is the right pick.

Best-suited for: Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Ram 1500, Toyota Tacoma, Toyota 4Runner, Jeep Wrangler, GMC Sierra, Nissan Frontier.

Tire Best Features:
