This listing is for new Nokian Rockproof LT265/70R17 E/10PLY BSW Tires. Manufacturer part number: T430147. The Nokian Rockproof tire is designed for the absolute harshest commercial work like logging, oil rig maintenance or mining in which overloading on gravel roads is common. Nokian tires are the experts in traction and durability for harsh nordic winters. They have now taken this expertise and applied it to finding a solution for pick-up trucks in North America that run long distances on gravel and unmaintained roads. What sets this tire apart are the rubber compounds, tire construction and tread pattern. In the sidewall, Nokian used their newest aramid sidewall technology for more protection. Nokian Tires also added more rubber in the upper shoulder which reduces the chance of flats. In the tread grooves there is added rubber, or stone ejectors for better durability. The tread blocks are also reinforced to give the tire better handling and stability when the vehicle is heavily loaded on paved roads. For the winter, in areas that get a lot of snow and ice, the Nokian Rockproof tire is pinned for #15 studs. This is a premium light truck commercial grade tire for the harshest conditions. If you have had a problem with stone drilling or pre-mature removal of tires due to abuse and tough operating conditions, then it is time to try the new Rockproof tire from Nokian.
