Established in 1967 in Montreal, Canada, Montreal Tires is an international brand renowned for engineering robust all-weather tire solutions. Built specifically to handle harsh northern winters alongside warm summer highway conditions, Montreal Tires focuses on structural casing integrity, cold-temperature polymer flexibility, and low-noise tread block geometry.
Operating under strict international quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) safety certifications, Montreal Tires leverages advanced vulcanization technologies. This ensures every passenger, crossover, SUV, and commercial light truck tire maintains structural uniformity, low rolling resistance, and consistent road feel across demanding driving conditions worldwide.
Technical Engineering & Authority Highlights:
All-Weather Compound Technology: Formulated with specialized silica-polymer blends that remain pliable in low temperatures while resisting high-heat tread deformation.
Advanced Hydroplaning Resistance: Engineered with continuous longitudinal channels and lateral evacuation grooves to clear standing water and slush rapidly.
Certified Structural Durability: Built in full compliance with U.S. DOT and European safety mandates, providing verified high-speed integrity and uniform wear rates.
The load index (LI) is a 2- or 3-digit number that correlates to the maximum amount of weight the tire can carry. For example, a tire with a load index of 87 indicates that the tire can carry a maximum load of 1,201 lbs. In this particularly example, 4 tires (each with a load index of 87) can carry a maximum of 4,804 lbs. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual for the recommended minimum load index.

Tread Design
Nondirectional
The pattern of the grooves, lugs, voids, and sipes on a tire's surface. This design affects the tire's traction, handling, and noise characteristics. Common types include symmetrical (uniform pattern across the tire), asymmetrical (different patterns on the inside and outside for varied road conditions), and directional (designed to rotate in one direction for improved wet traction and hydroplaning resistance).
