The Milestar Winterguard is a dedicated winter tire for passenger cars, crossovers and small SUVs, introduced by Milestar for the 2025 season. It is for drivers who face real snow and ice every winter and want certified winter traction at a value price.
Milestar rates it with the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) symbol and the Severe Ice symbol. 3PMSF means the tire passed a tested traction standard in medium-packed snow, which is not the same as the M+S marking on all-season tires, a tread-geometry self-certification. The Severe Ice symbol is a separate, newer standard for braking on ice. Milestar says its tread design and compound are built for grip, stability and control on ice and snow. Sizes run from 14-inch to 20-inch wheels with T (118 mph), H (130 mph) and some V (149 mph) speed ratings, and some sizes are XL (Extra Load).
Winter tires deliver their full benefit on all four wheels, which keeps grip balanced front to rear under braking and in turns. Mount them before the first snow and swap back to all-season tires in spring.
Best-suited for: Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Camry, Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Subaru Outback, Hyundai Elantra, Nissan Rogue, Chevrolet Equinox.
