Trailer King RST Tires
The Trailer King RST is a radial ST (Special Trailer) tire for the trailer, not the vehicle pulling it. It suits utility, boat, camper and equipment trailers that need a radial casing built to carry weight at highway speed without building excess heat.
The steel-belted radial casing adds a nylon overlay on most sizes. That cap holds the belts in shape under load and speed, where trailer tires build heat. The shallow, ribbed tread runs cooler than a deep one, tracks straight and resists the side scrub tandem axles take in tight turns. It carries an M speed rating (81 mph) on most sizes and N (87 mph) on some, above the 65 mph default for an ST tire with no speed symbol.
A long, trouble-free life on any trailer tire comes mostly from setup: correct inflation, the right load range and attention to age. The RST comes in light load ranges for small utility trailer sizes and goes up to load range F (12-ply rating) on heavy 16-inch sizes. Pick the load range by the trailer's loaded weight, not its empty weight, and leave margin. It is built for free-rolling trailer axles only.
Best-suited for: utility trailers, boat trailers, travel trailers, car haulers, landscape trailers and equipment trailers.
