The Continental SecureContact AW is an all-weather touring tire for sedans, crossovers and SUVs, launched in January 2026. It is for drivers who want one set of tires all year, including real snow, without changing over to winter tires.
The key mark is the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol, which means it passed a standardized severe snow traction test. A typical all-season only carries M+S, which describes tread geometry and is not a tested standard. The asymmetric tread uses snow pockets that pack snow, and bow-shaped siping designed to evolve as the tire wears, so winter and wet traction carry deeper into its life. EcoPlus Technology targets lower rolling resistance for fuel economy and EV range. Continental's internal testing claims best-in-class wet braking and wet handling against the Michelin CrossClimate2, Bridgestone WeatherPeak, Goodyear WeatherReady 2 and Pirelli WeatherActive.
Tread life is a strength. The UTQG treadwear grade is 700 on most sizes, a high number for any touring tire, with A grades for traction and temperature. The warranty is 60,000 miles on H- and V-rated sizes and 55,000 miles on W-rated sizes. QuickView indicators molded into the tread show remaining dry, wet and snow capability and flag alignment problems early.
