Toyo M153 is a heavy-duty steer tire made for regional and urban applications of commercial trucks. The tire is also suitable for drive and trailer positions. It features four deep longitudinal grooves that help to disperse water out of the tire’s tread and reduce the aquaplaning risk. The Z-shaped siping in tread contributes to better grip and increased traction in wet conditions. M153 is an extremely durable tire that delivers superior wear performance and high load capacity. The deep tread depth delivers longer wear life under high-scrub applications, while the wide tread pattern distributes heavy loads evenly for better mileage. Its unique buttress protector reduces cutting and curb damage to the sidewall, and the stone-ejector grooves minimize stone retention to maintain casing integrity. The high-tensile, open-cord construction keeps moisture and oxygen from entering the cord bundle to combat corrosion. The wide steel-belt structure strengthens the tread area and improves its durability, while the high-elongation top belt protects casing integrity.
